Training Plant Growth Acoustically

Have you ever walked down a sidewalk and the sidewalk seems to make a little jump, which would not be much good for anything unless you were a male youth with a BMX Bicycle or were just kicked out of the shopping mall on your skateboard for doing tricks? Most of us have and we know that the roots of the trees have uprooted the sidewalk. Recently some studies have been done which used directional acoustics to train root growth. No the application was not to protect sidewalks or protect the foundation of anyones house; it was done in a laboratory. Yet, the research does lend itself to the problem of sidewalks and tree roots.

Having the ability to train roots to grow a certain way has many uses if you would consider the amount you pay a landscaper to trim your hedges? Imagine being able to have an acoustic beam over the top of your plants so they never grew any higher than a flat height of your desired length? No more high costs for; Rut, row and redge from your half-English speaking gardener. Instead you would only have to Rut and Row or Cut, blow and go; meaning you save money on the landscape bill and your landscaper gets to boogie to another customer.

Not certain but this would also mean that your Ginseng Roots would be completely straight, but probably cost a lot more to sit growing in a sound beam all their lives? One real great application might be to prevent trees from growing too close to power lines. In fact I propose a static electricity or electromagnetic pulse directional acoustic whistle to fire off every few seconds at a very high pitched frequency and pointed along the power lines to prevent over growth which could cause blackouts. But that is only one possible application, I am sure you will think of some more.
